What's Happening

Our Mission

Mission Statement: To empower consumers with the tools to save money and their environment.

Create

  1. A building that supports and showcases Philadelphia’s green organizations and their initiatives.
  2. A continually updated database of green products and services for area residents and businesses.
  3.

Communicate

  1. Be a major regional web portal for sustainable products, processes, companies, and organizations.
  2. Introduce to the community the idea of contributing to a collective environmental movement.
  3.

Support

  1. Assist regional organizations with their efforts in environmental education, lifecycle awareness, and local green initiatives.

The Urban Green Partnership (UGP) works to save the environment, your pocketbook, and your bottom line.

  • The consumer needs an online platform that combines education, product data, financial information and trust.
  • The United States needs to solve an energy crunch that is fast approaching.
  • The world needs to reduce the eco-footprint of its large cities to keep the cost of living and doing business at a competitive level.

By bringing hundreds of entities in the environmental arena under one roof, we will ease the transition of residents and business owners longing to adopt a green consciousness.

Why UGP chose to Start in Philadelphia.

Philadelphia is a comparable metropolis to NY, Baltimore, DC, and Boston, home to more than six million residents and 250,000 local businesses, and lacks any real green strategy. The urban populous of the globe is expected to increase as we move forward into the global economy, making the development of solutions for the unique design limitations and higher safety standards of urban centers a high priority.

  • Media interaction will be a key factor in our success, and Philadelphia puts us at the heart of an existing tourist destination.
  • The lack of recycling and inefficiency of old buildings makes Philadelphia a location full of many potential successes, and downtown is supported by an established academic community.
  • Philadelphia will claim home to the tallest Green building (Comcast) and the highest scoring green building in the world.
