Development Director

A development Director is needed to help identify grants and funding sources for UGP projects. We need to secure funding for the devlopment of the Econexus. This applicant will need to be highly motivated able to work in a paperless world and be green savy. This applicant will also need to be a respectfull person who understands what it means to work in the startup phase of an organization.

Applicants should have:

Strong written communication skills
Experience researching, relationship building and organizing
Experience with Word, Excel, Power Point, and Sharepoint will be needed.
Ability to work independently and in a team
Interest in environmental sustainability / "green" technology

This is a paid position. Days and times are flexible. We request that director work minimum 20hours a week. Employees can work either at our Center City location or from home.

Technology and research intern

An intern is needed to help build a comprehensive database of green technologies/products. Learn about latest green technology on the market, and help make Philadelphia a greener city.

Applicants must have:

Strong written communication skills
Experience with Microsoft Excel
Ability to work well both independently and in a team
Interest in environmental sustainability / "green" technology

This is an unpaid internship. Days and times are flexible. We request that interns work minimum 16 hours a week. Interns can work either at our Center City location or from home.

Event planning intern

Intern(s) needed to plan for the one of the biggest environmental events in Philadelphia – the Green Fest Philly 2007. The 2006 South Street Green Festival featured many local speakers plus vendors and attracted up to 6500 attendees. This year’s festival will be even bigger and better – be part of the planning!

Interns can choose to work on the following projects:

Applicants must have:

Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to use Microsoft Office programs
Passion for environmental sustainability
Experience in event planning/coordination
Ability to work well independently and in a team
